Jacques Henri Lartigue

The catalogue of the exhibition “Capturing moments of joy” dedicated to Jacques Henri Lartigue in 2017 in Fukushima, had been given to me by its curator, Masako.
Since then, it has been there, plainly visible, on my desk. As I was browsing through it again, I found my SS2022 color palette which I wanted fresh and cheerful: the colors of joie de vivre spreading through J.H. Lartigue’s work.

Books are full of germs which make ideas grow and blossom. They can sleep during months and suddenly, they unexpectedly call your attention. Then, a picture, a word can make a whole universe appear, emerge memories, stir up and nourish desire and dreams.
